Shy, Low announce new album ‘Purity Spiral’
SHY, LOW have announced a brand new album!
Titled Purity Spiral, the upcoming release from the Richmond, Virginia-based instrumental post-rock/post-metal band is set for release on October 16th via Pelagic Records. The record follows 2021’s Snake Behind The Sun and sees the band continuing to push the boundaries of modern instrumental heavy music, blending cinematic atmosphere with crushing intensity.
With Purity Spiral, SHY, LOW expand their sonic palette even further, embracing a noticeably heavier and more meticulously crafted sound. The album builds vast emotional landscapes through dynamic contrasts, layered textures, and a patient, cinematic approach, moving seamlessly between moments of delicate introspection and towering, cathartic intensity.
Alongside the announcement, the band have released the first single from the album, The Bloat.
