Firtan announce new album ‘Helios’

Titled Helios, the upcoming release from the German black metal outfit is set for release on October 2nd via AOP Records. The band’s fifth studio album follows 2022’s Marter and explores themes of enlightenment, self-mastery, and personal transformation. Blending atmospheric black metal with the crushing weight of death metal, Helios also incorporates acoustic and electric violin, ritualistic chants, analogue synthesisers, and a host of experimental textures to create the band’s most expansive work to date.

Alongside the announcement, the band have released the new single, The Hierophant Way, which features guest vocals from NE OBLIVISCARIS vocalist James Dorton.
