RAM announce new album ‘Against’
RAM have announced a brand new album!
The Swedish heavy metal titans have revealed their new full-length album, Against, which is scheduled for release on October 9th via Metal Blade Records. The upcoming record is the follow-up to 2019’s The Throne Within and sees the band shifting away from the spiritual and metaphysical themes of its predecessor in favour of a more grounded exploration of resistance, defiance and nonconformity.
Speaking about the new album, the band shares, “that fire of defiance, which ultimately defines its title and message.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have also unveiled a music video for Ghost Emperor, the lead single from the upcoming record. Speaking about the new track, vocalist Oscar Carlquist says, “this is the opener of the album, a straightforward classic heavy metal song and pure RAM. Lyrically, it deals with how our power structures exist to conceal the true rulers, the ones we will never see or know, pulling the strings behind the curtain and controlling us all.”
