Love Is Noise announce new EP ‘The Space Between Happiness And Heartache.’

LOVE IS NOISE have announced a brand new EP!

The UK alternative metal outfit have revealed their new EP, The Space Between Happiness And Heartache., marking the band’s first fully self-produced release. The upcoming record follows 2025’s To live in a different way.

Built around a concept centred on an unnamed character who constructs an artificial world to escape reality, The Space Between Happiness And Heartache. explores themes of depression, anxiety, isolation and self-worth. Inspired by works such as The Truman Show, The Matrix, Dark City and Batman: The Animated Series, the project examines the tension between reality and illusion, happiness and heartbreak, and the increasingly complex ways people conceal their struggles.

Speaking about the EP, vocalist Cameron Humphrey shares, “the more we wrote this record, the more we realised it wasn’t really about one person’s story, it’s about how people create versions of themselves just to get through modern life. We wanted to make something that felt real. Not polished to the point where it loses its humanity, but honest about the things that people don’t always want to talk about. The character has built this entire world to escape how they actually feel, but we never tell you exactly why. That’s really important to us. We don’t want to give the listener a beginning, middle, and end and tell them what it means. We want people to find themselves somewhere inside it.”

To coincide with the announcement, LOVE IS NOISE have also unveiled smile., the first single to be taken from the upcoming EP. The track features a guest appearance from Casper Frisk of PALESKIN.

Speaking about the new single, Humphrey adds, “Smile is a pursuit of happiness. An anthem for the lovers. A celebration of those who put others first. This song is a light in the dark when you forget who you are. You are worthy to someone out there, and don’t ever forget it.”
