Lugubrious Garment announce debut album ‘In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night’
LUGUBRIOUS GARMENT have announced a brand new album!
The Milan-based death metal project helmed by Gabriele Gramaglia (COSMIC PUTREFACTION, VERTEBRA ATLANTIS) has revealed its debut full-length album, In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night, which is scheduled for release on October 16th via 20 Buck Spin.
According to Gramaglia, In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night explores the intrusion of malign forces into the earthly realm as a metaphor for the destructive influence of evil upon humanity. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered by Gramaglia between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 at Crepuscular Sound Studio, the album features additional contributions from Yr-nhhngr, Giorgio Trombino, Andrea Morgan and drummer Claudio Invidia.
To coincide with the announcement, LUGUBRIOUS GARMENT has also unveiled Profaned Fountain Of Leaden Waters, the lead single from the forthcoming album.
Speaking about the new single, Gramaglia shares, “In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night narrates about a sort of trespassing of malign spirits and fiends into the earthly realm, as a metaphor to how the evil that man can do can manifests itself as an invisible and subtle force, able to obfuscate rationality and guide other human beings’ choices and actions towards really dark paths. Profaned Fountain Of Leaden Waters is a pivotal chapter in this epopee and musically it presents itself as one of the most omni-comprehensive tracks of the record, showcasing a melancholic side towards the end too (lyrically as well), as if a moment of meditation is permitted, after the storm.”
