Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 133
GREEN LUNG land the cover of Issue 133 of Distorted Sound Magazine!
Well, here we are, I can’t quite believe we’ve now said goodbye to summer 2026 and enter the final stretch for the year. How it’s flown, and as the nights draw in, I’m sure I won’t be alone in being thankful for some much cooler days! However, in our world of metal and heavy music, it’s been quite the opposite. The scene is SCORCHING!
Gracing the cover is a band that have grown from the UK underground into the juggernauts they are today. GREEN LUNG. The UK metallers have been of this decade’s biggest breakout successes and as they unleash their fourth record Necropolitan, and look set to dominate British metal for the foreseeable future, we catch up with the band to blow the lid off their new album and their rapid rise up the ranks of British metal!
Elsewhere, as per our MO, we’ve curated a collection of bands and artists across the heavy music spectrum. From alt artist superstar SCENE QUEEN, post-metallers THE OCEAN, or the iconic QUICKSAND and UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS, we’ve got it all! Throw in new interviews with the likes of RØRY, NOCTULE, CHAT PILE, BURNER or STEAK, whatever stroke of heavy music you like, you can rest assured we’ve got something for you!
Throw in a deep dive Heavy Music History retrospective on IRON MAIDEN’s classic Somewhere In Time, Introducing spotlight pieces on COR DE LUX and VORDERMANN, and a stack of new reviews, it’s a fest of new music to get stuck into. Enjoy!
