Kalandra release new music video for ‘A Ship Has Left the Shore’

KALANDRA have released a new music video!

The Norwegian alternative rock band have unveiled A Ship Has Left the Shore, the final single to be lifted from their upcoming third album, The Other Side, which is scheduled for release on November 13th via By Norse Music.

The new single was inspired by the death of a close family friend and explores themes of loss and grief. Written by guitarist/keyboardist Jogeir Daae Mæland and vocalist Katrine Stenbekk, the track slowly unfolds before building towards an emotional climax, reflecting the reflective and dreamlike themes explored throughout the album.

Speaking about the new song, the band says, “much of the album explores what happens as we drift off to sleep – the space between consciousness and dreams, and the worlds we encounter when we let go. A Ship Has Left the Shore takes us somewhere else entirely: to the other side of life, and to the profound question of how we cope with death and the absence of those we love.”
