Ignite announce new album ‘Still Wide Awake’

IGNITE have announced a brand new album!

The Orange County melodic hardcore veterans have announced their new album, Still Wide Awake, which is scheduled for release on January 15th, 2027 via Lockjaw Records. The record follows 2022’s self-titled album.

Operating once again as a four-piece featuring Eli Santana, Brett Rasmussen, Nik Hill and Craig Anderson, the album sees the band returning to the streamlined approach of their 1990s line-up while incorporating elements of metal and darker influences. lyrically, the record tackles themes including immigration enforcement, reproductive rights, mental health and personal responsibility.

Speaking about the new album, bassist Brett Rasmussen says, “with Still Wide Awake, we wanted to write some of the fastest, angriest songs of our career while pushing our melodic and heavy influences further than ever before. Teaming up with Lockjaw Records to bring this record to life means everything to us because they are just as passionate about this band as we are. Every single track on this album is something we had to genuinely feel in our gut to record. It’s aggressive, it’s honest, and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”

To coincide with the announcement, the band have released Still Wide Awake and Guilty Wounds, the first singles to be lifted from the upcoming album.
