Wyatt E. & Nina Saeidi announce debut collaborative album ‘Armour Of Surrender’
WYATT E. and Nina Saeidi of LOWEN have announced a collaborative new album!
The upcoming record, Armour Of Surrender, sees the Belgium-based doom metal band collaborating with Iranian vocalist Nina Saeidi of LOWEN, and is set for release on January 29th via Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
Three years in the making, the album follows the artists’ previous collaboration on The Diviner’s Prayer To The Gods Of The Night, taken from 2025’s zamāru ultu qereb ziqquratu Part 1. Across four compositions sung in English, Farsi and Akkadian, the record explores themes of grief, memory, loss and surrender, drawing from Persian mystical poetry and ancient Mesopotamian mythology.
Alongside the album announcement, the pair have shared the new single, The Branch That Yields Peace Has Been Cut For The Oil Of Its Fruit.
Speaking about the track, Nina Saeidi says, “The Branch That Yields Peace Has Been Cut For The Oil Of Its Fruit is a song of mourning over the destruction of innocence and nature at the hands of warmongers and despots. The ash that is armour against the living is surrender to death, and escape from ethnic and cultural classification.”
