Cloak announce new album ‘Above, Below, & Through’

CLOAK have announced a brand new album!

The Atlanta, Georgia-based blackened heavy metal outfit will release their fourth full-length album, Above, Below, & Through, on February 12th, 2027 via Metal Blade Records. The record follows 2023’s Black Flame Eternal and marks the band’s debut release for the label.

The band describe the album as an expansion of everything that made its predecessor successful, while exploring themes of liminality, duality, life, death, dream states and spiritual transformation. Speaking about the record, the band says, “Above, Below, & Through takes everything that was great about our last LP, Black Flame Eternal, and amplifies it completely, while still standing as an album of its own.”

Alongside the album announcement, CLOAK have shared the new single, Nigredo – Initium. Speaking about the track, the band explains, “a tale of being marked from the beginning. Nigredo – Initium was the first song we started working on as a new lineup, which is very fitting considering the translated title. It is the initial door that opens to the world that is Above, Below, & Through, and the start of a new dark age.”
