PREMIERE: Surrogate – Trope

Distorted Sound is delighted to premiere the brand new music video from TROPE!

The new music video, for the track Surrogate, is the brand new single from the LA-based art prog rockers and we have the privilege of giving the music video its exclusive premiere.

The song itself was engineered by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, AEROSMITH) and creative consulted by David Bottrill (TOOL, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, Peter Gabriel).

Speaking about the track, vocalist Diana Studenberg says, “Surrogate is a song about addiction. It can be addiction a thought, a feeling to alcohol, drugs, whatever it be, and how we use those things to the temporarily fill the voids inside us, rather than invest our energies in what we truly want in life. We substitute our truest and deepest desires with the quick fix. The easy, yet unbearable, surrogate.”
