Bent Knee announce new album ‘You Know What They Mean’
BENT KNEE have announced a new album!
The upcoming album, titled You Know What They Mean, is the fifth album from the Boston-based art rock band and is scheduled to be released in October this year.
The outfit’s myriad influences are distilled into a deeply moving art-form that defies categorisation, merging texture and style into music that’s thrilling, addictive, and unapologetically original. Lead singer and keyboardist Courtney Swain’s soaring vocals again prove to be instantly arresting whereas guitarist Ben Levin, bassist Jessica Kion, drummer Gavin Wallace-Ailsworth, violinist Chris Baum and sound designer Vince Welch (who also mixed the album) shine with an expert performance that brilliantly fuses a vibrant selection of moods and dynamics.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first single from the upcoming album; titled Hold Me In. Speaking about the new song, guitarist Ben Levin says, “when everything seems to be falling apart around us, the path of least emotional resistance can be to just feel nothing. Our song Hold Me In is the sound of someone gripping their emotions so hard that unprecedented waves of pain and beauty shoot out from between their fingers.”
