Insomnium announce new album and book release

INSOMNIUM have announced a new concept album and an accompanying book!

The new album from Finnish melodic deathsters INSOMNUIM is due to drop on September 23, 2016, through Century Media Records. It will be called Winter’s Gate and is a concept album made up of one forty minute song. The alum is inspired by a short story also called Winter’s Gate (Talven porri in Finnish) regarding a group of Vikings who, despite the fact winter is approaching, leave to find a fabled island west of Ireland.

The accompanying book contains the story in English, Finnish, and German and has been illustrated by Teemu Tähkänen.

The album has been written by Biilo Sevänen (vocalist and bassist), is currently being mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound AB studio in Sweden.
