PREMIERE: Exhumation – King Corpse
Distorted Sound is delighted to premiere the brand new song from KING CORPSE!
The new song, titled Exhumation, is taken from the Midlands-based sludge metallers’ upcoming new EP Sacred Crimson which is scheduled to be released in April this year.
With a running theme of the beliefs of The Hermetic Order of The Golden Dawn, the song is a mighty slab of colossal doom and showcases the talent that this promising outfit possesses. The song comes with a lyric video that was produced by Josh Pollard of Deadlock Saints. The track was recorded by Jack Cradock, the band’s bassist, and was mixed and mastered by Chris Wilson of Stourbridge Studios.
Speaking about the song, the band tells us, “Exhumation is our first single because it was the first song we wrote for the EP, and we feel it’s the song that gets the point across quickest of what KING CORPSE are about….. riffs.”

Continuing to talk about the upcoming release, Jack Cradock says, “I think this release is us beginning to stretch our wings a bit. We ’re-branching out from our stoner/doom roots, trying to explore other ways that heavy can be expressed. We’ve worked super hard to create something original that above all we hope people can connect with.”
