Mouth Culture release new song ‘sink’
MOUTH CULTURE have released a brand new song!
The new song, titled sink, is the brand new single from the UK-based alternative rock band and follows on from their previous single release, say it in reverse, which was released back in April.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Jack Voss says, “sink explores the psychological battle of losing someone at your own will, but still holding on to something that keeps you together – there’s a difference between sinking and drowning.” Guitarist/producer Jacob Welsh says, “sink is probably our favourite track to play live, there’s always this energy to it, it’s the tipping point in our set that gets the audience moving. It’s been really hard to capture the feeling that that song has in a room, we’ve re-recorded it maybe 10 times throughout quarantine, it’s been our little obsession piece.”
“There’s some stir crazy angst coming through which wouldn’t have been there if we weren’t actively seeking it out under borderline house arrest,” adds guitarist Mason Clifford. Bassist Todd Groome concludes, “me and Jacob snuck out to a nearby disused reservoir to shoot the artwork for the single, there was something ironic about releasing a song called sink with literally a picture of a sink as the cover art.”
