A Mourning Star release new song ‘Would It Be Easier If My Flesh Tangled Through This Blade’
A MOURNING STAR have released a new song!
Titled Would It Be Easier If My Flesh Tangled Through This Blade, it is the second single to be taken from the Canadian metalcore band’s upcoming debut full-length A Reminder Of The Wound Unhealed, which is scheduled to be released in October this year via DAZE.
Speaking about the track, vocalist Elijah Robinson explains, “I was inspired to write the lyrics to the single last year when I chopped off the tip of my finger making dinner. I went to the hospital and there wasn’t really shit they could do for me because I chopped the tip clean off , I couldn’t get stitches or anything. When I got back to my house the bloody scene was still on the counter and my fingertip was sitting there. The imagery was jarring and I just started writing shit down, but the song is basically a metaphor to me about the long process of personal healing and the frustrations that come with it “
