A Wake In Providence announce new album ‘I Write To You, My Darling Decay’
A WAKE IN PROVIDENCE have announced a new album!
Titled I Write To You, My Darling Decay, the upcoming album from the New York City-based deathcore band is the follow-up to 2022’s Eternity, and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Unique Leader Records.
Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist/clean vocalist D’andre Tyre says, “I Write To You, My Darling Decay is another step in the progression of A WAKE IN PROVIDENCE. I wanted to tell a story that encapsulates emotional pain and the lengths some are willing to go to undo that pain. This is an epic told through the nature of the songs, woven together by the orchestra and interconnected lyrical narrative. I hope you enjoy listening to the album just as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Mournful Benediction. The new song features a guest appearance from Ben Duerr of SHADOW OF INTENT.
Speaking about the new song, Tyre says, “it is with great pleasure we present Mournful Benediction ft. Ben Duerr. This single is the inciting incident within the full narrative of IWTYMDD. This song is a great mix of what to expect from the album, with clean vocals throughout the record along with an onslaught of aggression. We hope you enjoy Mournful Benediction.”
