Acres announce new EP ‘What It’s Like To Feel Worthless’
ACRES have announced a new EP!
Titled What It’s Like To Feel Worthless, the upcoming EP from the South Coast-based post-hardcore band is the follow-up to last year’s Burning Throne, and is scheduled to be released later this month, via Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records.
Speaking about the upcoming new EP, vocalist Ben Lumber shares, “this EP is us trying new things and trying to express ourselves in a new way. We will forever try and change things up with every release but also keeping what our fans like about our band.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, ACRES have released a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Deadweight. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from Lost and A Different Shade Of Misery.
Speaking about the new song, Lumber says, “when writing Deadweight, we were really conscious keeping all the elements of what we’re known for but also welcoming in the new sound. It’s cathartic and anthemic. Lyrically, it’s almost like a conversation between two people expressing how they feel about each other, and coming to terms with how they feel. It’s the first time I’ve written this way.”
