Aephanemer announce new album ‘Utopie’
AEPHANEMER have announced a new album!
Titled Utopie, the upcoming album from the French melodic death metal band is the follow-up to 2021’s A Dream Of Wilderness and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Napalm Records.
Speaking about the album, the band shares, “with Utopie, we set out to create a sound that brings together the elements we‘ve always loved – the intensity of melodic death metal and the depth of classical music. We spent a lot of time shaping melodies, drawing inspiration from polyphonic writing, and building orchestral arrangements that feel both powerful and natural to us. It was a challenging but fulfilling process, and we sincerely hope listeners will connect with what we‘ve crafted.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first single from the record, titled La Règle du Jeu. Speaking about the new track, the band says, “we’re really proud of La Règle du Jeu – it’s one of the most energetic and catchy songs on the album, and we feel it captures the balance we‘ve been aiming for between our favorite melodic death metal influences and classical music arrangements. We hope listeners will like it!”
