Alexisonfire announce new live album ‘LIVE Born & Raised 2022, St Catharines ON’
ALEXISONFIRE have announced a new live album!
Titled LIVE Born & Raised 2022, St Catharines ON, the upcoming live album from the Canadian post-hardcore band is the follow-up to 2022’s Otherness, and is scheduled to be released later this month, via Dine Alone Records. The live album captures the band’s two shows in the summer of 2022 during their appearance at the hometown, inaugural Born & Raised Festival.
Speaking about the upcoming live album, vocalist George Pettit says, “St. Catharines was a perfect breeding ground for young independent bands. There was no shortage of venues where you could play or promote a show. So in the early 2000s, ALEXISONFIRE learned a lot of what we needed to know coming up in St. Catharines. Coming back and playing a massive festival in Montebello Park was not only fun but served as an opportunity to give something back to the city that taught us how to be a band.”
Alongside the announcement of the new live album, the band have released a new live single from the upcoming live album; Little Girls Pointing And Laughing. The song is the very first track the band wrote 22 years ago, notably down the street from the festival grounds in Montebello Park.
