Altari announce new album ‘Kröflueldar’
ALTARI have announced a new album!
Titled Kröflueldar, the new album from the Icelandic black metal band took them almost nine years to create, and is scheduled to be released in April this year via Svart Records. The album was co-produced by Stephen Lockhart and the band themselves.
Speaking about the inspirations for the new album, guitarist/vocalist Ó.Þ.Guðjónsson comments, “Bands such as BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, INTERPOL, KILLING JOKE were a big inspiration for us as well for the use of clean guitars as the sound for leads. I expressed a desire to find some balance between the overdriven rhythm and melodic yet clean leads. These bands helped us find that.”
Alongside the announcement of the album, the band have released its title track as a lead single.
