Alter Bridge announce inaugural Blackbird Festival

ALTER BRIDGE have announced the inaugural edition of their very own festival!

Titled Blackbird Festival, the brand new event curated by the American rock heavyweights will take place on Saturday 27th June 2026 at Cardiff Castle in Wales. The band will headline the festival, marking their long-awaited return to Welsh stages after more than seven years.

Speaking about the announcement, vocalist/guitarist Myles Kennedy shares, “we realised we haven’t played Wales in over seven years. To make up for lost time, we thought it would be cool to do something extra special. So with that said, we are stoked to announce The Blackbird Festival. Not only does this commemorate 20-plus years of being a band, but it’s also a way to show our appreciation for the fans in Wales who’ve patiently waited for our return.”

Joining ALTER BRIDGE as very special guests are Welsh legends SKINDRED, whose explosive fusion of metal, reggae and punk has made them a global live favourite. Also set to perform are rising Welsh trio FLORENCE BLACK, and the soul-infused rock outfit CARDINAL BLACK. One more band is still to be announced.

Tickets go on general sale from Friday, August 22nd and can be purchased here.
