Arcadea announce new album ‘The Exodus of Gravity’

ARCADEA have announced a new album!

Titled The Exodus of Gravity, the upcoming album from the Atlanta, Georgia-based synth-metal band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2017’s self-titled debut album, and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Relapse Records.

The upcoming new album was recorded at West End Sound, in the basement of MASTODON’s practice facility, Ember City. The album was self-produced by the band and engineered by Tom Tapley.

“There’s something really hopeful and uplifting about it from a musical aesthetic,” shares vocalist/drummer Brann Dailor. “The object was to get a little more dancey and a little more fun. As much as we liked how proggy the last Arcadea album was, it reminded me of what I already do in MASTODON. We wanted to explore the idea of doing something different. So, I wanted to really concentrate on groove and dance and embracing the electronic aspect of it.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Fuzzy Planet. “It’s about that first fuzzy feeling you get when you fall in love,” shares Core Atoms from the band about the new single. “Our lead character is recognizing that the spore has gotten in them and they’re starting to change. They’re awakening to all the beauty that’s around.”
