Arch / Matheos announce new album ‘Winter Ethereal’
ARCH / MATHEOS have announced a brand new album and released a new music video!
The new album, titled Winter Ethereal, is scheduled for release on May 10th via Metal Blade Records.
Talking about the new album, which follows the duo’s 2011 album Sympathetic Resonance, guitarist Jim Matheos says, “the way we work together is no pressure, no deadline, at least until we get close to recording. We allow ourselves a lot of time and flexibility to see if we even have anything to say. That’s first and foremost. We start by writing, and if things start shaping up and we’re excited and inspired, we keep going until we’re confident that we’ll be able to do a whole record.”
The upcoming record also features contributions from present and previous drummer and bassists from FATES WARNING, including Joey Vera, Bobby Jarzombek, Joe Dibiase and Mark Zonder, alongside other esteemed artists such as drummer Thomas Lang, bassist Steve Digiorgio (DEATH, TESTAMENT, CHARRED, WALLS OF THE DAMNED) and CYNIC‘s Sean Malone.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the duo have also released a music video for first single, Straight and Narrow.
