ArcTanGent announce 2026 headliners and next wave of bands

ArcTanGent have revealed all three main stage headliners for next year’s festival!

Headlining Friday will be the legendary experimental rock band PRIMUS, playing their first ever ArcTanGent set and their first UK shows since 2017. Performing songs from their vast and acclaimed back catalogue, this promises to be one of the most memorable sets in the festival’s history.

Thursday’s main stage headliner is the stunning and beguiling American singer-songwriter CHELSEA WOLFE. Originally booked to headline in 2020 before the pandemic, this long-awaited performance will finally happen. Closing Saturday, CULT OF LUNA & JULIE CHRISTMAS will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their phenomenal album Mariner by performing it in full. This show is a UK exclusive for 2026.

Speaking about the performance, Johannes Persson of CULT OF LUNA says, “in 2016, we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Somewhere Along the Highway. At the time, it already felt like a lifetime had passed since we recorded it. That same year, we released Mariner with JULIE CHRISTMAS and somehow, ten more years have gone by in what feels like an instant… What I’m really trying to say is simple: I take every chance I get to be on stage with Julie. As a band, we spent a lot of time considering what it would mean to revisit these songs again… So with a mix of excitement and a fair bit of fear, we’re preparing to bring these songs back to life next summer.”

JULIE CHRISTMAS adds, “this will be an experience, not a performance. Blood, sweat, and tears… light, love, and sound so loud I might shatter. CULT OF LUNA changed the way I think about making music forever… Don’t miss this.”

Joining them are Wednesday headliners SIKTH, plus NAPALM DEATH, HIGH ON FIRE, CONJURER, and JO QUAIL & THE CROSSBONES ENSEMBLE (UK exclusive), alongside previously announced acts including IGORRR, PERTURBATOR, CHAT PILE, ALCEST, OATHBREAKER, AGENT FRESCO, TTNG, SVALBARD, HECK, and many more.
