Armed For Apocalypse announce new album ‘Ritual Violence’
ARMED FOR APOCALYPSE have announced a new album!
Titled Ritual Violence, the upcoming album from the American sludge metal band is the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2018’s Palm Reader EP, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Candlelight Records.
For the upcoming album, it is one that the band always wanted to make, with the engineer they wanted to make it Kurt Ballou, God City [CONVERGE, HIGH ON FIRE, EVERY TIME I DIE] and the label they wanted to partner with, Candlelight Records. The upcoming album also features guest appearances from Andreas Kisser [SEPULTURA] on Foredoomed and Trevor Phipps [UNEARTH] on Suffer For A Living.
Speaking about the upcoming album, the band says, “Ritual Violence was written in a time where everything seemed to be hopeless. A lot of the songs on the album revolve around an overall theme of being stuck in an inescapable self destructive rabbit hole, and the struggle to break free of those habits.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming album; Full Of Phlegm.
