Armed For Apocalypse announce new album ‘The Earth Is Breathing Beneath Me’
ARMED FOR APOCALYPSE have announced a brand new album!
Their fourth full-length, The Earth Is Breathing Beneath Me, arrives April 24th via Church Road Records. The Portland, Oregon-based sludge/post‑metal unit – originally formed in Chico, California – recorded the album with Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studios, marking a return to the engineer behind their 2022 album Ritual Violence.
“This album is bleak,” the band says. “It’s got dissonance and aggression and every song carries a sense of melancholy and density beneath the surface. But there are also moments of meditation, and even signs of optimism woven in that make it feel like a true reflection of who we are as people.”
The new record is ushered in by the lead single Fists Like Feathers, out today alongside an official music video directed by Jon R. Moore.
