Asian Death Crustacean announce debut album ‘Baikal’
ASIAN DEATH CRUSTACEAN have announced their debut album!
Titled Baikal, the upcoming album from the London-based experimental four piece is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in June this year.
The forthcoming album combines the band’s breadth of influences in extreme progressive metal, electronic/ambient music and the London underground jazz scene into an exploration of the themes of metamorphosis and self-transformation. The album’s title was named after the world’s oldest and deepest lake located in the vast expanses of Siberia, to evoke a sense of exploration into an immense and unknown space of simultaneous beauty and threat.
Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming record; titled Baikal Part II. Speaking about the new song, the band says, “this track had its seeds in the first material we wrote together as a band and showcases the dynamic of continuous evolution and the broad sonic palette which defines the album.”

Baikal is set for release on June 26th via self-release.
