Askari release new song ‘Phantom’

ASKARI have released a new song!

In a bid to stand out from the pack bands are experimenting more and more with splicing genre’s in order to give themselves an edge and this is precisely what ASKARI bring to the table. Interestingly their members are dispersed all around the UK but unite to bring forth their intriguing blend of grime and electronica with a bit of nu-metal thrown in for good measure. Their new track Phantom is laced with lyrical venom as they delve into the darker, heavier side of their writing style.

Speaking about the track drummer Aiden Baldwin says, “Phantom was probably the most organic process we’ve been through as a band. We went into Rock Hard Studios in Blackpool after James (guitar/trombone) created a demo using drones and modes, and the rest hatched in the studio as we played it out. Asher (vocalist) kick-wrote lyrics on the fly during the writing and recording of the music, drawing from past experience. The epistolary style has shaped the track massively”

The quintet are due to hit the road on a string of UK dates later this month.
