Avatarium announce new album ‘Between You, God, The Devil And The Dead’

AVATARIUM have announced a new album!

Titled Between You, God, The Devil And The Dead, the upcoming album from the Swedish doom metal band is the follow-up to 2022’s Death, Where Is Your Sting, and is scheduled to be released in January next year, via AFM Records.

The upcoming album was produced and mixed guitarist by Marcus Jidell, with a mastering by Svante Forsbäck [CANDLEMASS, AMORPHIS, etc]. The album artwork was created by Erik Rovanpera.

Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist Marcus Jidell shares, “18 months ago we decided to make another album and now it’s (finally) written, recorded and mixed! At one point I thought we would never be able to finish it but here we are now! This album has the doom, the old school heavy metal riffs, the acoustic numbers and the classic dark gospel of AVATARIUM. I am very proud of what we have achieved and if this is our last album, we’ll definitely end with a bang!”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Long Black Waves. Speaking about the new song, Jidell says, “the first song is a heavy, doomy dark gospel named Long Black Waves. It’s a homage to bands like LED ZEPPELIN, MOUNTAIN and BLACK SABBATH. And as always we try to find our own twist on things to get the good ol’ AVATARIUM vibe going. Enjoy!”
