Banks Arcade announce new EP ‘DEATH 2’
BANKS ARCADE have announced a new EP!
Titled DEATH 2, the upcoming EP from the Australian alternative metalcore band is the follow-up to last year’s Future Lovers, and is scheduled to be released in February next year, via UNFD.
Speaking about the upcoming EP, the band says, “DEATH 2 expresses the darkest side of BANKS ARCADE. It’s the heaviest this band will ever venture and it explores the most chaotic elements from the different genres we enjoy. With each song exploring death and disorder in a different way it paints a visceral picture that is symbolic of change and the shedding of the bands previous self.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; More Want. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from Change and Worship The Internet.
Speaking about the new song, the band says, “More Want was written in a time where I was dealing with a lot of darkness and felt I was losing a grip on my sanity. The song was written in a frenzy and highlights chaotic self talk and someone who is on the edge of breaking. Every aspect of the song was made to highlight a volatile state of mind be aggressive and disconcerting.”
