Beauty School announce debut album ‘Happiness’

BEAUTY SCHOOL have announced their debut album!

Titled Happiness, the upcoming album from the Leeds-based alternative band is their debut full-length album and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Slam Dunk Records.

For the upcoming debut album, the band worked with James Kenosha [DINOUSAUR PILE-UP, PULLED APART BY HORSES, MARMOZETS] and the result intends to be optimistic midwest emo from the North of England.

Speaking about the upcoming debut album, vocalist Joe Cabrera says, “Happiness is just a collection of songs that we wrote, but it feels like much more to us. We are really proud of this record and sharing it feels like the end of a long difficult journey yet at the same time the start of another exciting journey. Writing this album was our purpose whilst we were stuck inside for more than a year. When there’s nowhere to go, no shows to play, no one to see, you have to create your own happiness. So that’s what we did.”

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Drysocket. The new music video is the third single to be released from the upcoming debut, following on from Pawn Shop Jewels and Take It Slow.

Speaking about the new song, Cabrera says, “it’s about the realisation that the relationship you are in is toxic. However this is about the journey of coming to that realisation. Realising the cracks and the red flags. Recognising that you are losing sight of yourself.”
