Black Sky Research release debut song ‘Light Up The Sky’

BLACK SKY RESEARCH have released their debut song!

The song, titled Light Up The Sky, is the debut single from the new band fronted by former MALLORY KNOX vocalist Mikey Chapman.

Formed last year, for this new project, Chapman teamed up with songwriter and guitarist Luke Hicks to bring a five-track EP scheduled for release in this summer. The debut single is an explosive rock number that incorporates influences from act such as A PERFECT CIRCLE and FIGHTSTAR. Set in an apocalyptic scene in London, the single serves as a teaser for the EP, in which the songs follow the events of a night in chronological order, telling a tale of chaos and destruction.

Speaking about their debut single, the band says, “it’s been exciting yet refreshing working on BLACK SKY RESEARCH. Each of us have such a wide range of influences, and along with the method of writing to a story, it has enabled us to be really open with our creativity. We’re stoked to finally be sharing this with the world.”

In support of the release of the EP, the band are planning a showcase tour in September this year, depending on the developments with the current Coronavirus climate of course.
