Blackbriar announce new album ‘A Dark Euphony’
BLACKBRIAR have announced a new album!
Titled A Dark Euphony, the upcoming album from the gothic/symphonic metal band is the follow-up to 2021’s The Cause Of Shipwreck, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Nuclear Blast Records.
Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist Zora Cock says, “some say that there is beauty in darkness – terrifying visitors, worlds far gone, gothic romances, bone-chilling legends, sin-eaters, burning hearts frozen in time, songs with a misleading voice, and a truthful whisper. This and so much more for you to discover on A Dark Euphony.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Cicada. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from My Soul’s Demise and Crimson Faces.
Speaking about the new song, Zora Cock says, “it’s said that cicadas were once humans. When the Muses came into the world, they enchanted some people into singing, they loved singing so much, they forgot to eat and sleep and died. The Muses rewarded them by turning them into cicadas who sing continuously. In this song, I ask my muse to turn me into a cicada after I’m gone.”
