Blackwater Holylight announce new album ‘Not Here Not Gone’
Los Angeles-based heavy trio BLACKWATER HOLYLIGHT have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming full-length, titled Not Here Not Gone, is scheduled to be released on January 30th, 2026 via Suicide Squeeze Records. Recorded at Sonic Ranch with producer Sonny Diperri, the album refines the band’s signature blend of doom, shoegaze, and ethereal heaviness, shaped by their relocation from Portland to LA.
Alongside the album announcement, the band have released the lead single Heavy, Why?. Speaking about the track, vocalist Sunny Faris says, “Heavy, Why? is a lyrically light and instrumentally heavy arrangement that cryptically but intentionally speaks to the experience of being disembodied and poses the question, simply, of: ‘Why? Why is it such a hard, lonely, agonizing and heavy experience to be turned away from Self’.”
