Bloodstock Festival announce 16 new bands
Bloodstock Festival have announced a new batch of bands for this year’s festival!
There’s just five weeks to go until the UK’s biggest metal festival returns for another year and now, the organisers of the festival have announced a new batch of bands! Romping into a Jagermeister Stage slot on Friday are Black Country stoner rockers, EYES OF THE RAVEN and bringing something a little different is Sophie Sparham, a spoken word artist and author who’ll be kicking off the Jagermeister Stage proceedings with her music-inspired works. Gracing Saturday’s stage with their blend of groove metal and hardcore will be DAYBREAKER, and picking up a Sunday slot are southern blues-soaked doomsters, VICTUS.
The festival is also excited to unleash another wave of New Blood winners from their Metal 2 The Masses finals, who all land a spot to perform on the Hobgoblin New Blood stage across festival weekend. Joining the festival on Friday are Oxford’s winners, THE HOPE BURDEN, who bring their post-metal sounds, Leeds’ tech-death victors PRAVITAS, blackened noise beasts MARW, who triumphed in Merseyside, Nottingham’s top dogs WIDOWS, with their doom laden riffage, TOMORROW IS LOST who won out in Newcastle with their hard rock cuts, Manchester winners SAURR with their take on modern tech metal, the splendidly named garage/fuzz rockers GOAT MONSOON who took the prize in Essex and finally, Northants champions REAPER X, with their new take on classic thrash.
Picking up a set on Sunday’s New Blood stage are SETHEIST, who bring their melodic metal from Poland’s M2TM final, Norway’s victors, GOLDEN CORE are New Blood indeed, a 14-yr old and 17-yr old doom metal duo and two guest bands, hard riffing trio, FALLEN TEMPLES from Wales and closing out proceedings in the headline slot are blackened thrash squad, DAMIM, featuring ex-AKERCOCKE man, Nathanael Underwood.
