Bodyweb announce new EP ‘deadwired’

Leeds-based nu-hardcore outfit BODYWEB have announced their second EP!

Titled deadwired, the EP is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Flatspot Records.

The new release follows the band’s 2022 debut train_wreck_simulation and marks their first collective recording as a full five-piece. Entirely self-produced, deadwired expands on the band’s blend of hardcore, nu-metal, and electronic textures.

Alongside the announcement, the band have released the EP’s lead single, deadwire. The track blends explosive heaviness with melancholic synths and hook-laden vocals, and is accompanied by a video directed by Martina Pastori.

Speaking about the track, vocalist Louis Hardy says, “it’s about fading relationships, cutting people off, and seeking truth in a world of lies. Life is full of suffering, but being entirely blameless for your own suffering is a surefire way to becoming disconnected from your own soul. It’s important to have faith in something.”
