Calligram announce new album ‘The Eye Is The First Circle’
CALLIGRAM have announced a new album!
Titled The Eye Is The First Circle, the upcoming album from the London-based multi-national quintet is their brand new full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in April this year, via their new home at Prosthetic Records.
The upcoming album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Lewis Johns at The Ranch Production House during October last year, The Eye Is The First Circle is an abrasive, relentless ball of energy, designed to short circuit nerves upon first listen.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song to be taken from the upcoming record; titled Anedonia. The new music video is part one of two and was shot in London. The music video was first premiered via MetalSucks.
Speaking about the new music video, drummer Ardo Cotones says, “I thought we’d try and create something a little different to the usual aspects of classic metal videos; fast camera movements, fast edits and stories intertwined with the band playing. So the band on this short film is an element of the central story. The style is inspired by the films of Paweł Pawlikowski and the French new wave as I’m a massive film nerd.”
