Cascade drop new single ‘Deadweight’
Manchester based post-hardcore outfit CASCADE have released a brand new single!
The track, titled Deadweight, lands on August 6th. CASCADE pull together vocal melodies and hardcore riffs to create their sound, whilst citing influence from HANDS LIKE HOUSES and EMAROSA.
Listen to the Deadweight here:
“Deadweight is about how modern life has become reliant on material possessions such as electronic devices and social media apps etc,” drummer Scott Jackson says “These things were designed to help better our lives, but they’re increasingly becoming a burden. People are becoming more and more reliant on them to seek gratification and put pressure on themselves to maintain an ‘online’ persona. They create anxiety and it seems that nobody speaks face to face any more. The song is just a reminder that we’re all human and we shouldn’t be afraid to speak to people face to face and not be defined by a ‘social norm’.”
CASCADE recently signed with Red Cardinal Music Management under manager Liam Connolly and are planning a tour for the end of the year.
