Castle Rat announce new album ‘The Bestiary’
CASTLE RAT have announced a new album!
Titled The Bestiary, the upcoming album from the New York City-based doom metal band is the follow-up to last year’s Into The Realm, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via King Volume Records (in North America) and Blues Funeral Recordings (in the UK and Europe).
The upcoming album was recorded by Randall Dunn [SUNN 0))), WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, BJÖRK] and mixed by Jonathan Nuñez [TORCHE, RESTLESS SPIRIT], the band’s latest album features 13 spellbinding tracks of epic carnage and mystical metal.
Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist The Rat Queen says, “The Bestiary is a conceptual book of beasts containing a collection of mystical creatures from a world forgotten. The last remaining souls of each have been gathered and preserved by The Wizard. Cautionary tales of each beast and The Wizard himself are woven through the power of traditional heavy metal song and spell.”
