Celeste announce remixed and remastered edition of ‘Morte(s) Née(s)’
CELESTE have announced a special anniversary edition of their landmark album Morte(s) Née(s)!
To celebrate 20 years as a band, the French blackened hardcore outfit will release a remixed and remastered version of their 2010 record on December 5th, 2025. The new edition has been remixed by Chris Edrich and remastered by Pierrick Noël, bringing renewed depth and clarity to one of CELESTE’s most influential works.
Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the updated version of opening track Ces belles de rêve aux verres embués, complete with a brand new music video.
Speaking about the song, vocalist and bassist Johan Girardeau says, “it perfectly captured CELESTE’s evolution at the time – a sharper turn toward the black metal spectrum. From the opening seconds, it sets the tone for the entire album: fast, suffocating, dark and dissonant, yet still strangely melodic. A bold, uncompromising statement that laid the groundwork for everything the band would become.”
