Cherie Amour release new music video for ‘Orlando’
CHERIE AMOUR have released a brand new music video!
The new video, for the track Orlando, is the brand new single from the Baltimore nu-punk pioneers, and comes after the release of their first single, Burn, under their new name.
Previously known as ONE LIFE TO LEAD, Trey Miller, Casey Reid (guitar), Brendan Willis (guitar) and Ronnie Sherman (drums), felt that their group’s evolving style and sound deserved a name that matched their overall style.
Taking influence from a plethora of artists such as LINKIN PARK, MGK, BRING ME THE HORIZON, DON BROCO and DANCE GAVIN DANCE, the band expertly concocts new genre-blending recipes per track. The band tossed aside their worries of being pigeon-holed into one particular genre and embraced the self-proclaimed title of nu-punk. The group creates a blend of hip hop, R&B, nu-metal, and punk.
Speaking on the song, Vocalist Trey Miller stated: “Orlando starts out by painting a visual of walking in on your significant other with someone else. I wanted to show what I think many people have felt, but wouldn’t dare to express on wax. The rapped portion of the song gets emotionally aggressive, and I think that’s what makes it interesting. A simp anthem!”
