Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! release new song ‘Complete You’

CHUNK! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK! have released a brand new song!

The new song, titled Complete You, is taken from the French post-hardcore band’s upcoming new album, Gone Are The Good Days, which is scheduled to be released later this month. The new song features a guest appearance from AJ Perdomo of THE DANGEROUS SUMMER.

“CHUNK is back – FINALLY,” says vocalist Bertrand Poncet about the upcoming album. “Our last album came out six years ago. Since then, we’ve grown so much as individuals and as a band. We have had a lot more life experience, as humans and as musicians, to draw from. In addition to producing this record ourselves, we experimented with our song-writing approach and have tried new things that we cannot wait for you to hear. Don’t worry. It still has all the old CHUNK! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK! feels that you know and love – with a fresh new sound that will knock you off your feet.”

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the writing process for Gone Are The Good Days happened remotely: vocalist Bertrand Poncet and drummer Bastien Lafaye handled most of that initial work, then swapped files with their bandmates, who were scattered in other areas. The members of the band were able to connect in person for a short stint at Alias in January 2021; the first time they’d all been in the same room for the last four years. “The album was a way for us to turn the 2020 bullshit into a better mindset,” Bert says. “To give us a better future.”
