Cognizance announce new album ‘Phantazein’

COGNIZANCE have announced a new album!

Titled Phantazein, the upcoming album from the Leeds-based death metal band is the follow-up to 2021’s Upheaval, and is scheduled to be released in January next year, via Willowtip Records.

The upcoming album was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström [AEON, BLOOD RED THRONE] and was produced by produced by Alex Baillie and Apostolis Karydis.

Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist Alex Baillie says, “this record is undoubtedly our most creative and individual record yet. The evolution of COGNIZANCE has always been driven by our intrinsic vision and less of what our fans expect the band to deliver based on our previous work.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Shadowgraph. The new music video was first premiered via No Clean Singing.
