Collaboration project Sonos Omnes release music video for ‘Lectures From Lockdown’
The various stages of lockdown we have experienced throughout the world has been a blessing and a curse for musicians. Some artists have had to cancel their lengthy touring schedules or postpone album releases until it is safer to do so. Cumbrian musician Troy Slater has taken this opportunity to acquire the services of a host of local and international individuals to create a project known as SONOS OMNES who have recently released a track entitled Lectures From Lockdown which he hopes will help alleviate the doom and gloom for a moment as well as assist in raising funds for front-line care workers who have worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
Speaking about the track Troy says “Sonos Omnes is Latin for all sounds and is a perfect description of the ideals and services this project will provide. In April during the peak of lockdown I reached out to various contacts and colleagues within the industry to put together a collaboration. The personnel includes drummer Conny Pettersson from Sweden who you may know from his time in ANATA and ETERNAL LIES as well as producer Francesco Bertan. All profits from Lectures From Lockdown will be donated to the Corona Virus Careworkers Fund.”
