Confessions Of A Traitor announce new album ‘This Pain Will Serve You’
CONFESSIONS OF A TRAITOR have announced a new album!
Titled This Pain Will Serve You, the upcoming album from the London-based metalcore band is the follow-up to 2022’s Punishing Myself Before God Does and 2019’s Guilded, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Facedown Records.
The upcoming album was produced by the band and Justin Hill [SIKTH, HEART OF A COWARD] and mixed by Lance Prenc [ALPHA WOLF, POLARIS].
Speaking about the upcoming album, the band shares, “this record is a heartfelt tribute to those who have experienced profound loss – to those who continue to grieve the ones they love. It stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, inviting listeners to find comfort and solidarity in faith, hope, and the shared experience of grief. We grow from trauma – we let it serve us.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Still Haunted.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Stephen MacConville shares, “the song tells the story of my best friend and how he’s struggled with the loss of his partner to suicide. He holds the memories of their relationship so dear. He is haunted by things he could have done differently to prevent her from the path she chose. Dwelling in a limbo where he simply cannot move on from her, falling deeper into sadness as he is surrounded by all of her possessions.”
