Corey Taylor announces new album ‘CMF2’

COREY TAYLOR has announced a new album!

Titled CMF2, the upcoming album from the SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman is the follow-up to 2020’s CMFT, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via his own label imprint, Decibel Cooper Recordings, and BMG.

The upcoming album was produced by Jay Rushton [ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER, AMON AMARTH]. Speaking about the upcoming album, COREY TAYLOR says, “my first solo album was kind of where I was coming from. This album is more where we’re going.”

Alongside the announcement of the new solo album, Taylor has released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Beyond. Speaking about the new song, he says, “I originally wrote it as an aggressive romantic song, but I’m also looking at it now as a kind of ‘come together’ song. Bringing the masses together, and letting them know that I want my music to take them beyond what they may think about me. Maybe they’ve had a misconception about me. It’s not exactly a calling card, more like throwing the bat signal up and being ‘alright, let’s turn everything on its head.’ It’s almost a dual threat, because now I look at it from two standpoints.”
