Corrosion Of Conformity announce new double album ‘Good God / Baad Man’

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY have announced a brand new album!

The American heavy metal legends have announced their long‑awaited new double album, Good God / Baad Man, set for release on April 3rd via Nuclear Blast. Arriving as the follow‑up to 2018’s No Cross No Crown, the new record marks a pivotal moment for the band after years of upheaval, including the tragic passing of drummer Reed Mullin in 2020 and the amicable departure of longtime bassist Mike Dean.

Written in Mississippi as Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman revisited the music that shaped them – from DISCHARGE and MOTÖRHEAD to ZZ TOP, NEIL YOUNG, and Black Sabbath – the album stands as a sprawling love letter to rock ‘n’ roll and a tribute to their fallen brother.

Described by the band as two distinct sonic worlds, Good God / Baad Man emerged from an unexpectedly vast pool of material. “As we went on, we had such a crazy plethora of songs, it was almost like two different directions,” says Pepper. “We knew we had to split it into two different albums. Then we came up with this concept.” Good God leans into the heavier, more aggressive end of the spectrum, while Baad Man taps into the band’s swaggering rock roots — each forming its own self‑contained universe.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the album’s lead single Gimme Some Moore, featuring backing vocals from MINISTRY’s Al Jourgensen and guitarist Monte Pittman. Written as a callback to their teenage punk era, the track also received a limited seven‑inch release during their recent Mexico/South America tour.

Speaking about the collaboration and direction of the new music, Pepper Keenan comments, “me and Woody wanted to write a song as if we were 17 years old again. We even made a seven‑inch for it.”
