Corrosion of Conformity’s Reed Mullin dies age 53
We here at Distorted Sound are saddened to report the passing of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY drummer Reed Mullin.
Alongside Mike Dean and Woody Weatherman, Mullin was a founding member of the band and performed with them until 2001, leaving due to back injury. In 2010 he rejoined the band with the Animosity era lineup and continued to be a vital cog in their machine, with 2018’s No Cross No Crown standing as his final album.
The news of his passing broke last night, when the posted a simple, heartfelt tribute on their social media. He was only 53 years old. The statement is as follows, “Reed, It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother and pioneer. Love and condolences to the family, friends and fans who will miss you and thanks for the music.”
RIP Reed Mullin.
All of us at Distorted Sound send our deepest condolences to Reed’s friends, family, bandmates and fans.
