Daisy World announces new EP ‘i bet you missed me’

DAISY WORLD has announced a new EP!

Titled i bet you missed me, the upcoming EP from the Los Angeles-based alt-pop artist is scheduled to be released in September this year, via self-release. Inspired by the energy of 90s icons like GARBAGE and HOLE, the new record intends to mark a shift toward a more aggressive and cathartic sound, blending alt-pop with elements of grunge and punk.

Speaking about the new EP, the artist shares, “anger sets me free. This EP unlocked something in me. I laid low for a while, disappeared from the daylight to find my joy again. This EP is me saying: Hello, I’m back – and better than ever.”

Alongside the EP announcement, the artist has released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Jelly Donuts. Speaking about the new single, she adds, Jelly Donuts is about a situation so fragile I can’t get into the details. However, it’s for anyone who talks themselves out of their anger or blames themselves too easily. Writing it helped me let it all hang out and screaming that second verse? Suuuper cathartic.”
